MARIAM MARTÍNEZ-BASCUÑÁN es licenciada en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas y de la Administración Pública por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Concluye sus estudios de Ciencias Políticas en el Institute d¿Études Politiques de Paris donde obtiene Le diplôme du Pragramme International. Ha sido visiting researcher en la Universidad de Chicago durante el otoño de 2005 y en la Universidad de Columbia (Nueva York) durante el curso escolar de 2006-2007. En enero de 2009 defiende su tesis doctoral titulada Teoría Política de la Diferencia: Iris Marion Young, dirigida por Rafael del Águila Tejerina. Ha publicado, entre otros trabajos "On Immigration Politics in The Context of European Societies and The Structural Inequality Model" en The Philosophy of Iris Marion Young, Ann Ferguson y Mechthild Nagel (eds.), Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2009.

MÁRIAM MARTÍNEZ-BASCUÑÁN is Lecturer at the Department of Political Science of the Autonomous University of Madrid. She was visiting researcher at the University of Chicago during the fall of 2005 and at Columbia University during the 2006-07 academic year. She has published "On Immigration Politics in The Context of European Societies and The Structural Inequality Model" in The Philosophy of Iris Marion Young, Ann Ferguson y Mechthild Nagel (eds.), Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2009. She works in social and political philosophy and feminist theory.
